Mobility division

Since 2007, the Mobility Division has been dealing with issues relating to the sustainable mobility of goods and people, at both local and national level. It keeps a close eye on legislative, regulatory and regional developments, with a view to ensuring that solutions complement rather than conflict with each other. In addition to providing a forum for dialogue, the clubs aim to facilitate the development of sustainable mobility.

TOPICS COVERED :

Energy mix in transport
Recharging infrastructure and alternative fuels
Retrofitting : converting combustion-powered vehicles into battery-electric or hydrogen-powered vehicles
Complementary modes of transport
Intermodality & MaaS
New forms of mobility : car-sharing, car-pooling, etc.
Public bicycle services operated by AOMs
Transport and urban planning : mobility adapted to uses, areas and supply
Parking and local incentives

We support our customers, who represent the diversity of these solutions, in their dealings with the decision-makers concerned, and for many years have been providing them with informed proposals for action, in the light of the dialogue organised as part of our work, in line with current events.
In addition, we carry out a significant amount of day-to-day monitoring for the members of our clubs, to keep them as well-informed as possible about public decisions.

THE DIVISION’S CLUBS

GREEN CARS CLUB + MOBILITES & TERRITOIRES

Created in 2007, the CVE gathers economic players offering solutions to limit the health and environmental impact of our journeys. Its aim is to develop the energy mix in transport, and to encourage our fellow citizens to choose vehicles and mobility practices that are best suited to their means and needs. It brings together manufacturers, energy providers & infrastructure deployment, mobility services, banks, insurers, associations & foundations. Mobilités & territoires is committed to organising these exchanges on a regular basis with local public decision-makers.

LAST MILE DELIVERY CLUB (CDKL)

Co-founded in 2012 with the Groupement des Autorités Responsables de Transport (GART), CDKL brings together economic players with solutions to limit the impact of urban logistics, and to encourage public authorities to promote their deployment. Its aim is to develop the energy mix and solutions for deliveries and goods transport. It brings together manufacturers, energy companies & infrastructure deployment, mobility services, banks, insurers, associations & foundations.

EXAMPLE OF A PROJECT CARRIED OUT BY THE MOBILITY DIVISION

In 2017, the Mobility Division was approached by a manufacturer who wanted to create a legal framework in France for retrofitting, i.e. the conversion of internal combustion vehicles into battery or fuel cell electric vehicles.
After gathering the first interested parties to create the Association des Industriels du Retrofit Electrique (AIRe) to work together to bring the issue to the attention of the public authorities, the publication of the decree of 13 March 2020 in the Journal Officiel enabled the emergence of a French retrofit industry.
The regulations are also inspiring other European countries, and the full inclusion of retrofitting as a tool for achieving CO2 targets for heavy goods vehicles also demonstrates the appeal of parliamentarians and the Commission for this solution, which promotes the circular economy and the creation of value in our regions.
